Ingredients
Prawns - 400 gms
Potato - 2 big ones
Pearl onion peeled and cut in half - 1 cup
Garlic - 10 cloves
Fennel powder - 1 tsp
Sambar powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaf - 5 leaves
Corriander leaf - 2 strings
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 5 tsp

Preparation Method
Wash and clean prawns. Keep aside. Click here to learn how to clean prawns.
Wash the potato, peel and cut into small pieces, about half a cm squares and keep aside.
Now Heat 4 tsp oil in a pan. Reduce the heat to low and add onion, peeled garlic and curry leaves. Stir for 2 mins and add the prawns along with potato, salt, fennel powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and sambar powder. Sirt fry for 2 min. Sprinkle a handfull of water, stir, cover with lid and cook for 10 min. Open the lid and add a tsp of oil, stir and cook uncovered for 7 min. When you get the dry fry texture sprankle chopped corriander leaves and switch off the heat.

Era or Eral is Prawns in Tamil language. Urulai or Urulai kizhangu is Potato.
