Ingredients
chowchow - 1 no
Green chilli - 3 nos
Onnion finely chopped - 1 cup
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Toor dhal cooked - 1 cup
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Asafotida powder - a pinch
Curry leaf - 10 leaves
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Coconut gratings - 4 tsp

Preparation Method
Seasoning
Take a freash pan heat some oil in it. Reduce the heat to low and add mustard when its done popped add urad dhal asafotida powder and stir until the dhal turns golden color. Turn off the heat and keep aside.
Kootu
Chop the chowchow into small pieces. Heat a pan and add a cup of water, when the water boils add the chopped chowchow, onion and green chilli cut in half, cover the pan with lid, reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 min or until the chowchow is 3/4th done. Add the cooked dhal cover the pan and cook for 2 min. Turn off the heat add the seasoning done before along with the grated coconut, stir well and serve
