Curry leaf rice

Just to name it in English we say, Curry leaf rice. It is actually "Karuvepillai Sadham" in Tamil language. In Tamil Nadu no one refers in with the english name. However as you can note "Karuvepillai" is "Curry leaf" and "Sadham" is "Steamed rice".

A simple recipe for Karuvepillai sadham is below:
1. Dry a bunch of curry leaves and powder them. Nowadays, this powder is sold in super markets.
2. Pour this powder on steamed rice.
3. Add Ghee or Sesame oil.
4. Mix them throughly.
5. Serve the dish.

When we travel abroad, we take the karuvepillai powder with us. We just make steamed rice and mix with this powder to have a quick flavor of Tamil food.

We can also make Karuvepillai sadham from fresh curry leaves. The recipe for this will be added later.
