Guava

The Tamil name for Guava is "Koyya".

This is one of the traditional fruit of Tamils. It is eaten in fruit as well as in non-ripe form.

Guava is considered to have high medicinal values. Country side people eat Guava to get instant energy. Unlike how guava is consumed abroad in juice form, we do not make juice out of Guava. It is munched and eat so that it gives strength for the teeth too.
