How to boil Groundnut

Boiled groundnut is delicious and healthy. You can eat it just after it is boiled by removing the shells. Or you can make Sundal out of it. Or you can just mix with raw veggies like tomato, onion, carrot, green mango and eat them. It is all upto your taste buds. In whatever form you eat it is going to give you all the health you need.

To boil the groundnut you will need pressure cooker. If you do not have one, it is going to take time to boil over a pan on a stove.


Take a pressure cooker fill it with water in such a way that the ground nut are fully emerged. Add little bit of salt and switch on the flames.

Cook in low to medium flame. Wait for 3 whistles. Give sometime for the pressure to leave and then open the cooker. Take the boiled groundnut out and put it in a plate.

You will have to remove the shell of each and every pod and eat the content.
