Vellarikkai:
Nowadays Vellarikkai is mainly used to make raita's. Vellarikkai is used to make Vellarikkai Sambar. And Vellarikkai can be also used for making side dish Poriyal.

We can also eat it raw.

It is famous as a snack in the beach side, where slices of cucumber are sold with chilli powder or salt or just plain cucumber slices. Sometimes they add cucumber pieces in Sundal.
