Raita

Raita is commonly called as Thayir patchadi by Tamil. It is made out of curd by just adding chopped onion or vegetables.

This is a simple side dish which is most famously used to go along with Briyani. However you can use this as a side dish in meal with Sambar, Rasam and other dishes as well.

When eating spicy foods, kids prefer to add just curd or Raita to help eat the food.
There are many variations of making Raita.

3. Carrot Raita: Curd with shredded carrots and salt.
4. Masala Raita: Mixing any combination of the above and adding masala spices.
