Cleaning process of Prawns is a time consuming one. If you are in India, typically cleaning process is done when you buy. You should get it cleaned properly and carefully by instructing the person to remove the dark black/brown thread inside the prawns that starts from head to tail.

Clean the rice for Briyani and keep it aside after filtering the water.
We have used Seeraga samba rice.

Heat oil in a pan.
Once oil is hot, start frying the onion. Fry until onions turn brown (about 5-10 min)

Add all the masala powders and fry for about 5 min and then add Prawns.

Keep frying by mixing the Prawns with the masala for about 10 min. This step is almost similar to Prawn fry

Add this content in a rice cooker with already soaked rice (from Step 1). Mix them and and cook the rice.

Serve Prawn Biriyani with Onion Raita. Optionally you can take some masala from Step 4 and serve it as a side dish like below.

Leftover tips:
Usually Briyani will never go Leftover. Just in case if it happens, you can keep it in Fridge and heat it in microwave before having it. It is better to have it within 24 hours. The reason to reheat is to get all the flavours back. Re-heating of Prawn dishes should be done with care unlike Mutton dishes. Mutton dishes (for example Mutton Briyani) need 2 or 4 min of reheating while Prawn dishes need 30 seconds to 1 min.
