Chicken

Tamil language name for Chicken is "Kozhi". To be precise, "Naattu Kozhi", meaning, the farm chicken or the countryside chicken is what we were eating.

Goat used to be more famous then Chicken until broiler chicken came.

For some reason, we used to believe chicken makes our body hot and mutton will cool them.

However, chicken is very famous these days than mutton. Probably because it is cheaper and easier to cook.

Tamil cuisine style Chicken dishes are famous not only in India but also in other Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia.
