Chicken Kuruma is a important non-vegetarian main dish for us.

Chicken Kuruma is mainly used as a main dish during lunch course. However, chicken kuruma is famous as a side dish for Idly, Dosai, Chappathi and Parotta.

Here we will show case a Chicken Kuruma recipe passed on thru generations in my family.

Grind all Ingredients in "To Grind" and keep it aside.
This is called ground coconut masala.

First thing is to do the tempering process.
Heat oil in a fry pan, add cinnamon sticks, cloves, black pepper and fennel seeds.

3

When the pepper begins to splatter add finely diced onions and fry till golden brown.
Then add ginger garlic paste fry till raw smell goes off.
Then add chopped tomato, crushed garlic, curry leaves and mint leaves.

4

Fry till tomato gets all soft and mushy.
Add turmeric powder, sambar powder and redchili powder, fry for a minute and add the cleaned chicken pieces (from Step 1).
Mix well and then add the ground coconut masala (from Step 1).
