Rava

The Englsih name for Rava is "Semolina".

In present day, Tamil cuisine and in general Indian cuisine, Rava plays a major role. In Tamil cusine, there are various ways of using "Rava":

Rava:
We use Rava for making sweets and savories.

In sweet, Rava is used for making Kesari. Some times, Rava is added in Payasam too.
In main dish, Rava is used for making Rava Idly and Rava Dosai. Basically modified versions of Idly and Dosai using Rava as main ingredient.
In main dish, we also make Rava Uppuma.
