Sambar podi

Sambar podi or Sambar powder is the main masala in Tamil cuisine.

As the name indicates, this is for making Sambar.
However, sambar podi is used for making many other dishes.
For example: Potato fry.

Here we will show a secret family recipe for making Sambar powder. This recipe can make 500 gms of Sambar Podi.

Dry all the ingredients in direct Sun for a few days.

Fry them in a pan.

Mill or grind the mixture to make a powder. If you are in India there are several mills available where you can make bulk of the sambar powder or any spice you want to make a powder form.

Make sure you store the powder in an air-tight box.

Podi in Sambar Podi means something small or powder.
