Masiyal

Masiyal is a type of side dish making. You can consider Masiyal as a form of mashing the vegetables like Mash Potatoes.

Masiyal can be made with
1. Seppankizhangu
2. Karunaikizhangu

Making a Masiyal is pretty simple and straight forward.

Just follow these steps.

1. You will have to boil the vegetable (Seppankizhangu or Karunaikizhangu) first.

2. Heat oil in a pan and put mustard seeds.

3. Once it splatters put all the boiled vegetable mash them.

4. Add chilli powder / sambar powder and salt and continue mashing them while doing a saute for about 15 min.

5. Stop before it gets too much mashed up.

6. Serve hot with Sambar or Rasam.
